Department is one of the most demanding and contextually relevant department in the contemporary academic world. It offers three years U.G. degree course to prepare students for higher education in commerce. The course intends to provide the foundation for students who plan to pursue their career in business, E-commerce, finance, tax, human resource, audit, insurance, business advisory, entrepreneurship etc.
Department OF COMMERCE have inimitable features of experienced and skilled faculty members, well equipped and rich departmental library which furnish complete knowledge and understanding of the subjects. Department organizes various activities to impart practical understanding of the subject, it helps in developing the analytical, communication and problem-solving skills to effectively identity issues and find efficient and pragmatic solutions of the problems. After the Bachelor degree, stream provide ample of opportunities for students to opt in for reputed courses like M.Com., CA, CS, CMA, MBA etc.
UG: Economy needs people in business and industries who have good trading and selling skills, this practice is specifically taught in commerce stream. VKM has established its Commerce department to meet the growing demand for commerce graduates. Earlier, the stream used to allow for very limited job opportunities like accounting, but with the changing scenario commerce graduates are needed more than ever. For the flourishing career in the fields of the trade and business sector College offers three years Under Graduate course. It includes three subjects as EAFM, ABST and BADM. Economics tells us about production, consumption, distribution and transfer of resources, wealth and various issues about the developing Indian economy. Accountancy is related to financial transactions and events, profit and loss, management, business assets and communication. Business studies discuss about how to start, control and manage business in effective manner.
Under the Degree course, college organizes immense activities for the overall progress of our students like quizzes, seminars, workshops, Presentations, career enhancement programs etc. After doing Bachelor of commerce courses from the college, students can opt for further studies by going for masters. They get various job opportunities like financial analyst, accountants, business consultants, tax consultant etc.
